Well, sorry to keep you in dark so long. I had a month of tidying up affairs and re-thinking things and eating pluots. But I am here to tell you that I am making a new record in TWO WEEKS. The fabulous Craig Street (Chris Whitely, Chocolate Genius, Norah Jones, John Legend, Me'Shell, et cetera) is at the helm this time and not only is he a fantastic producer, he is a RIDICULOUS good cook and had it not been for him, I would never have known that potatoes fried in duck fat taste like heaven and finding 100 dollar bill on the street and tiny cute puppies and magnificent sunsets and getting a parking spot right in front of the department of motor vehicles ALL ROLLED INTO ONE. 

Folks, it was that good. 


Anyway, this last month has been all about putting the finishing touches on songs, getting them JUST SO, and I go to LA for two weeks to record. I honestly couldn't be more excited. I love the direction this record has taken; it will closely reflect the live show. Which is to say, TO ROCK. Plus things have gotten very groovy. I'll need you all to dust off your best dance moves. You will won't you?

And best and scariest and greatest of all: I am my own label once again and I'm doing this record on my own. Which meant I had to sell nearly all the contents of my apartment on Ebay to pay for it, but it will be SO WORTH IT. Honestly, I thought the dogs and the cat would be worth more. Remind me not start the bidding at one penny UNLESS I WILL BE HAPPY GETTING JUST THAT. I hope they like their new homes!!

So, instead of road blogs, I will keep you up to date with studio blogs and little snippets of the things we're working on. And candid photos of the musicians getting into fist fights and stuff.
